Week 1 8/26 - 9/1/2019
This week was hectic, to say the least. I was a part of various events. It was very exciting to see students from orientations. As it was strange to have people wave at me while I remember who they are, and when I met them. That being said, it’s also an amazing feeling; knowing that I was a memorable aspect of their journey here at UC Blue Ash is awesome. The events that filled my week were very fun and a good transition to my role. I did my very first welcome desk shift, as well as helped answer more questions by working one of the information tables. I also did the “Bling Your Binder” event and got to be a student representative on the “Building and Grounds Committee” both allowed me to meet new people that I never thought I would, as well as, get out of my comfort zone more. The involvement buffet was not an actual buffet but was still another great opportunity I got to partake in this week. I also had a great time helping Jasmine set up the “Goals for the Semester” outside of Bleeker St. Café. On Thursday I got to do “Sweets with SOLs” which allowed me to see more of the students I saw during orientation. Friday ended my eventful week with “Wear Red, Get Fed” which was a hot day filled with good music and great times. Classes have been stressful, but very exciting, getting back into school mode is not as challenging which has helped. So far I’ve had a great week as Student Ambassador, and I look forward to more of what the position has to offer. Have a peaceful weekend and see you next week!
