Week 11

11/3 - 11/10/2019

I had a really great week! From the usual welcome desk, and team meeting to helping Gabby the ambassador intern with a school project. I also had my interview for the student orientation coordinator position which I really hope I get because I would love to work more with UC Blue Ash. The homecoming pep rally was on Thursday and although the weather didn’t cooperate I still had a great time posting some Snap-Chat stories, and handing out t-shirts to game participants. I also gave a tour to the Lakota academy, which is not associated with Lakota West- the high school I attended. On Friday I had the absolute best time during the UC Smiles Event. I gave elementary school kids a tour of UC Blue Ash, and they were more interested than the normal prospective tours I usually lead. On Saturday something extremely surprising happened: I woke up at 5 am. Like literally that early on a very cold day, but it was all worth it. A couple of o members of the ambassador team and I volunteered at the Matthew 25 Hunger 5K. Thanks to Stella and Sage, the event was a success and everyone had a great time. It was cold and early, but also very fun, and quick. That same day I went to my first ever football game, which was surprisingly so much fun! The semester is wrapping up so it’s time to check out some office-hours and get to know my professors, but yup! that’s about it. Overall, I had a really fun, and exciting week as ambassador.
